A tunnel diode discriminator

L Papadopoulos · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1966

A low level discriminator is described, with a tunnel diode as an input stage. A portion of the current that biases the tunnel diode is driven to the output when the latter swings to higher potential points of its current-voltage characteristic. The system becomes monostable by use of a ramp stage.
