Relationships Between Farthest Point Problem and Best Approximation Problem

The aim of this paper is to establish characterizations of remotal and antiremotal sets by a property of closedness, respectively openess, of some associated sets.We also examine the connection between farthest point problem and best approximation problem associated to a given set in a linear normed space.
