Why the goto is harmful

In this paper, the results of some research on the semantics of the goto-statement are presented. The outcome of this research might give an explanation for the problems encountered when using goto-statements in computer programs.We also discuss why the increased speed of operation of future computers may aggravate the dangers of this statement.
