Methodologies for evaluation of collaborative systems
Jeff Sokolov · ACM SIGGROUP Bulletin · 1999
Over the last two years, I have been involved in three different types of evaluations of commercial groupware or CSCW systems:1. Product survey 2. Formal usability testing 3. Hands-on dally use I was in the process of working with an internal Information Technology group to help them prepare for enterprise-wide deployment of a document management system when their budget was severely cut. However, one could argue that a pilot deployment would constitute a fourth type of evaluation: 4. Pilot deployment -small initial deployment prior to large deployment.
