Increasing the use of APL

It appears that APL is used by only 5 to 10 percent of the programming population that might use it. After 15 years of commercial availability, many APL proponents find this a disappointing percentage. This paper reviews the main factors that inhibit the use of APL. It describes the factors, suggests means to overcome those factors, and gives examples of various APL systems that address the limiting factors.
