Microcomputers in the Jamaican School Context: A Case Study

Microcomputers are gradually being introduced to schools in Jamaica, albeit on a low priority. This article describes the emergence of computer education in Jamaica, the reasons for its current state and indicates how recent thinking sees the future development of microcomputers in not only Jamaican schools but in other countries in the Caribbean region.
