A NOTE ON THE FACTORIAL NATURE OF THE F AND D SCALES
Peter B. Warr, Rebecca Lee, Karl G. Jöreskog · British Journal of Psychology · 1969
The suggestion that authoritarianism and dogmatism are separate constructs is examined by several factor‐analytic techniques. Two studies are described in which item–item correlation matrices are factored to determine whether systematic patterns of D and F items are observed. Results provide strong support for Kerlinger & Rokeach's (1966) view that the two constructs are factorially discriminable. Details of the consistently obtained factor structure of the dogmatism scale are presented.
