Automatic voltage regulator for direct current with particular reference to the life testing of 2-volt miners' lamps

Gordon Winch, A Bone · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1929

In order to facilitate the life testing of 2-volt miners' lamps on direct current a voltage regulator has been devised utilizing simple laboratory apparatus. The regulator is found to be reliable in use and maintains the voltage constant to within ±½ per cent. on a load of 15 to 20 amperes.
