The response of a hydraulic mechanical force measuring system

P Dransfield · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1964

A precision light-weight piston indicator mechanism is used with a force-sensitive cell to record force transients. The system characteristics are examined and the useful frequency response range established experimentally. The system is particularly useful where a moderate frequency response range - say to 20 c/s - is acceptable, and complete independence is essential.
