Fake Shares Detection on a Visual Secret Sharing Scheme by Rational Interpolation

In the visual secret sharing scheme based on polynomial interpolation, e.g. Lin and Tsai's scheme, fake share images may give incorrect secret information. We propose a method to identify or detect them using a technique by rational interpolation.
