Organizing a class in microcomputer to mainframe communication

Northwestern University, has a large number of users with their own microcomputers. Many of these microcomputer owners are interested in terminal emulation, and communication at baud rates approaching 9600. This paper describes the problems encountered in trying to meet the needs of users who attempt to communicate between their microcomputers and the mainframes available at Northwestern.
