Empirical Acoustic Criterion
T. Somerville, J. W. Head · The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America · 1956
A tentative criterion has already appeared in Acustica, but since then further objective and subjective investigations have been carried out to test the validity of an empirical acoustic criterion. By this means, it has been possible to establish for large enclosures an improved version of the original criterion and a new criterion, taking account of volume. A nomogram for the new criterion is described. For small enclosures, such as talks studios, it has been impossible to obtain satisfactory criteria, and a further investigation is therefore in progress.
