Continuously variable duration Hidden Markov Models for ECG segmentation

Classical Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) can be extended by explicit modelling of state occupancy and leads to the Continuously Variable Duration HMMs (CVDHMMs). This property is of particular interest when dealing with sequences composed of variable duration electrophysiological events. This paper describes some experiments of CVDHMMs.
