THOSE PROBLEM STAINS
Christopher Adams · AICCM Bulletin · 1991
In the cases I have examined I have found that to stain a prepared sample in a manner that confidently avoids ambiguity, is not as simple and as straight forward a process as first imagined. 'Problems' may arise from the initial preparation of the stain solut ion , the preparation of the sample, the application of the stain and the nature and behaviour of the stains themselves. Wolbers, in h is course notes, has addressed some of these. Others at the least need clarification.
