Support of VBR video streams under disk bandwidth limitations
Maria Papadopouli, Leana Golubchik · ACM SIGMETRICS Performance Evaluation Review · 1997
We present scheduling techniques for a scalable video server in a multi-disk environment. The scheduling of the retrieval is introduced in a dynamic rate-distortion context that exploits both the multiresolution property of video and replication techniques.
