A portable and reusable RDBMS interface for Ada

Most software systems must support the maintenance of structured data using non-volatile storage media, and therefore require an interface to a relational database management system (RDBMS). This interface should ideally enable the movement of data into and out from a generic form of storage media by servicing requests which assume nothing relative to the underlying data management facility or data store. This paper will address the issues regarding the type of interface which best satisfies this need and will describe a proposed solution along with its applications.
