The role of discrete structures & operations research in a computer science curriculum

The purpose of this paper is to present a description and rationale for the latter two courses, as well as a recommendation for their placement within the curriculum. It is the author's belief that both courses should be seriously considered as required courses in an ACM type recommendation for the reasons which will be outlined.
