Property of cosets and its application to the calculation of moments of binary sequences having multipliers

A property of the sum of the elements of a coset is established and applied, with a proof of Barker's hypothesis on the properties of m sequences, to determine the first moment of a binary sequence of + 1s and − 1s with a multiplier.
