This paper describes a computer implemented, graph theoretical algorithm to solve the following molecular structure elucidation problem: Given the molecular formula of an organic compound and several known, nonoverlapping fragments of that compound, determine, as topological graphs, all distinct molecular structures based on the formula and containing the given fragments as subgraphs.
