Performance of MC CDMA systems in nakagami-m equivalent single-path fading channel

This paper studies the performance of Multi carrier direct sequence code division multiple access, MC-DS-CDMA system in the generalized Nakagami-m fading channel, applying the maximum-ktio combining, MRC, technique. The number of subcarriers in the system is chosen so that a single path equivalent channel is obtained. In the proposed system, many scenarios could be offered to achieve the single path case. A closed form integral equation was derived for the bit error rate, BER, system performance. Numerical analysis obtained for different Nakagami -m channels. A comparison has been held between different possible scenarios employed to achieve the single path fading channel. Moreover, the effect of increasing or decreasing the number of subcarriers to the value achieving the single path channel has been investigated.
