Maximum Delay Minimization in Multipath Routing

A key component of an efficient multipath routing is the optimal resource allocation strategy that deals with how the traffic should be distributed amongst the multiple paths. In this paper, an intelligent traffic distribution policy that minimise the maximum delay in a multipath routing scenario is proposed. It would be proved that such delay minimisation can be achieved through delay synchronization. Based on this fact, an intelligent algorithm which can minimise the bottleneck path delay by using adaptive traffic sharing is proposed and validated.
