Paper Servo Design for a High Speed Printer Using Simulation

The design of feedback systems for control of paper motion through the IBM Printing 3800 Subsystem is described. The main tool for analysis and optimization is DSL, a digital simulation language for systems of continuous nature. The several stages in the evolution of the design are discussed.
