As cyber criminals find new and ever more inventive, ways to cause disruption to businesses, much of the recent media attention has been focused on the exponential growth of malware, with headline- grabbing incidents such as Conficker making a return. There is no doubt that the rise shows no signs of abating, in fact last year our labs recorded more than 40 million malware samples, with an average of 50 000 samples received every day.
