Potential for computation in micromagnetics via topological conservation laws
Peter Robert Kotiuga, Tommaso Toffoli · Physica D Nonlinear Phenomena · 1998
Abstract Micromagnetics supports emergent discrete structures, an emergent dynamics, and emergent conservation laws; here we discuss these features in view of their potential to be harnessed for computational purposes. More generally, we use micromagnetics as a concrete setting for discussing how fine-grained, massively parallel computation might be achieved in a homogeneously fabricated and homogeneously driven medium.
