Information Science and Technology in Developing Countries

The paper begins by painting the overall picture of information, science and technologies' present situation in the developing world. The initiatives to be discussed further in depth are introduced at this stage. General focus areas have been the Internet, CD-ROM and e-mail. The Internet is treated as a priority. The paper then goes on to discuss each initiative in detail. Recommendations to address the theme are made at the conclusion stage.
