The primary goal of the Software Technology Program (STP) at MCC is to develop Leonardo, our name for a technology to assist design teams working on large, complex, software-intensive systems.A central concern is the problem of designing distributed systems, which we feel will dominate the 1990's--the target date for the bulk of our technology.At STP, the Paddle project focuses on the problem of designing distributed systems by offering a new method for expressing these designs.In the sequel, I provide a brief summary of this project.
