Dr. Richardsons's presentation was entitled Computation, Communication, and Content - A Pregnant Union. He remarked, as did all of the participants, the duality of communications being both an end use of computers (e.g., used in design and usage monitoring of networks, switching operations, and billing) and a resource for computation.
