We propose a portable AR piano training system that helps the user to learn piano with affordable cost and no space limitations. The optical music recognition (OMR) process is first applied so the system can automatically play the melody of a given sheet music. During the performance, the training system indicates which note is playing and which corresponding piano key should be pressed on the keyboard. Our system also detects which keys are pressed by the user and give sound/visual feed-back to correct the user. With no requirement of a physical piano and tutor, our system extends a great range of time and space for the user who wants to learn piano.
