A new use of operators in the algebraic mode of REDUCE

H. Caprasse, M. Hans · ACM SIGSAM Bulletin · 1985

It is apparent for many users of REDUCE [1] that in the algebraic mode many facilities available in the symbolic mode are lacking. Consequently, the programming of nontrivial problems very soon becomes unnecessarily complicated. This situation is unsatisfactory mainly for two reasons:1) Though some users will turn to the symbolic mode, many of them do not have the time to master it and are not supposed to know LISP.
