Classical design of three by three systems

John van de Vegte · International Journal of Control · 1983

A technique based on classical specifications, Bode plots and pole-zero patterns is given for the design of three by three systems and is applied to a non-trivial example. Computer implementation should be used for routine applications, but to demonstrate the philosophy of the approach, the design example included uses only a hand-held programmable calculator-with library module programs for determining products of polynomials and their roots
