Game Moves as They Relate to Strategy and Knowledge
George W. Bright · The Journal of Experimental Education · 1980
A simple probability game was analyzed theoretically in terms of the strategies that would lead most often to an efficient sequence of plays. The strategies were ordered into a hierarchy. A series of experiments was conducted to determine the relationship between the use of first-order strategy and knowledge of the probability content of the game. It was concluded that there was no important relationship. The use of correct-strategy moves may indicate intuitive rather than specific knowledge.
