A Global Reliability Evaluation: Cutset Approach

This paper describes a method for global reliability evaluation of a networks through cutset approach. In first part of this paper, an algorithm for enumeration of minimal cutsets based on the technique of merging nodes is proposed and in second part, the system failure expression is simplified with the help of Boolean Algebra theorems to obtain the global unreliability. The proposed method obtains a final global reliability expression in more compact form on a test example than any previous method.
