The application of semiconductor devices in voicing
James R. Walker · The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America · 1977
Designers of electronic organs intended for the production of serious music strive to imitate the sounds produced by the pipe organ. This report describes progress towards producing certain organ pipe voices by the employment of diodes and transistors together with conventional electronics components. The advantages are more authentic sound and reduced cost. Spectrographic analyses of the electronic voices are compared with those of organ pipes.
