Perceived ethicality of some TV news production techniques by a sample of Florida legislators

Given the subtle norms associated with television journalistic production techniques, the following question was posited: Can a sample of politicians make ethical evaluations concerning a variety of common television production decisions? A factor analysis of legislators’ responses extracted two higher order factors—one dealing with required editorial simplification, and the other concerning intentional distortion.
