Power spectra and band occupancy of coded mark inversion in direct and frequency modulation transmission

A derivation is presented of the power spectral density of coded mark inversion (CMI) line code in direct (baseband) as well as FM transmission. Curves of the power spectral density and the cumulative power distribution, which will be useful in band occupancy determination, are also presented.
