Energy-conserving clustering scheme for multicastingin two-tier mobile ad-hoc networks

A distributed heuristic clustering scheme for multicasting is proposed to minimise transmission power in two-tier mobile ad-hoc networks. When the proposed scheme is implemented the average consumed power per master node is only slightly higher than the optimum result.
