The Regional Computing Organisation Network

A communications network operating in the Scottish Regional Computing Organisation (RCO) is described. The reasons why the various design decisions were taken, the design itself and some lessons learnt from it are discussed. Finally, the present status of the network and plans for the future are outlined.
