The Structure of ℒ-Unipotent Semigroups with Zero

We generalise theory of Lawson for inverse monoids with zero to wider classes of regular semigroups. We give a structure theorem for ℒ-unipotent monoids with zero. Several connections between cancellative categories and 0-E-unitary semigroups are obtained as an application of the results of this paper.
