A method of improving the reproduction of radiographs

When radiographs are reproduced as conventional prints for inclusion in textbooks or journals, much of the detail is lost because of the wide range of image densities in the transparent original. If radiographs are printed by an electronic scanning process such as is commonly used in air photographic printing, all the original detail can be reproduced.
