System for automatic generation of fuzzy rules and membership functions
Joseph T. Yestrebsky · Proceedings of SPIE, the International Society for Optical Engineering/Proceedings of SPIE · 1992
In this paper we wish to present an algorithmic technique for the generation of Fuzzy system rule bases and composite membership functions. This technique is based on data taken from a representative system either under classical control or the control of a human operator (i.e., an expert). The algorithm may be automated as a computer program which accepts control system input-output pairs. Such an automated process could ease Fuzzy control system design and implementation. Such an automated process may be used to construct Fuzzy systems which can 'learn'.
