This research is aimed at developing a support system of PC user for finding icons in window system. It is necessary to estimate the user's recognition on the structure of folders to support for finding the target icon. We propose a method to estimate the user's recognition from a sequence of user's operations of the window system. Prototyping support system for finding icons based on the estimation method has been developed
