Diffusion of Penetrant in a Polymer: A Free Boundary Problem

A free boundary problem arising in modeling diffusion of a penetrant in a polymer is studied. The asymptotic behavior of the solution for short time and long time, for small and large physical parameter $\epsilon $, and for small and large driving law exponent n are proved. Some explicit error estimates are also given.
