Reducing network disruption

Network disruptions are major deterrents in business productivity, especially when business critical applications are run by users sitting on a remote LAN whereby the critical servers are accessible over a WAN link. Reducing network disruption requires a “thinking out of box approach”, such that the fine-tuning/further investments can be carried out at the exact problem area rather than working around with perceptions and unstructured experimentations. In this paper, we study a real life network disruption problem at SKF Malaysia and demonstrate an appropriate approach to identify the root problem(s) and the corresponding solution(s) that are the most feasible.
