Effect of Redundancy on Female Observers' Visual Responses to Clothing
Marilyn DeLong, Carol J. Salusso-Deonier · Perceptual and Motor Skills · 1983
Responses of 30 female observers (college students) to 10 contemporary skirted suits were made on repeated exposures. Word pairs were selected to represent evaluative and informational aspects of the stimuli. Response patterns changed more for evaluative word pairs, e.g., Like-Dislike, than for informational word pairs, e.g., Simple-Complex.
