System for optimising pump station control

To attain optimum control of a pump assembly, the electrical power consumed needs to be kept to a minimum. Leszek Szychta , Eng.D in the first of two papers discusses pump properties at constant head of water as a function of variable rotational speeds. In this paper, a dependency approximating the efficiency of the pump as a function of rotational speed is determined and the criterion for optimum control of pump is defined.
