The flexibility of fuzzy clustering illustrated by examples

This paper presents a discussion of the versatility and flexibility of fuzzy clustering. Three examples of very different applications are presented. The focus is on flexibility with respect to distance measure used and with respect to the possibility of utilizing known membership values for some of the samples.
