A file system for VM-TOTAL/APL

This paper describes a disk and tape file system for VM-TOTAL/APL. The file system and its environment are introduced, and design objectives and considerations are presented. All significant features are briefly discussed with emphasis given to facilities that were developed specifically for the VM/CMS environment.
