Video Cassette Recorder Development for Consumers

The first 2-head, helical scan type color video tape recorder appeared on the scene 18 years ago. Since that time numerous technical innovations have made possible an increase in the recording density, development of new color recording systems, utilization of cassette tapes, and so forth. Based on these achievements, a video cassette recorder designed and developed especially for home usage has recently met with completion and this system has been named "VHS".
