Generating Entanglement via Interaction of Coupled Quantum Dots with a Quantized Field

We discuss the possibility of generating entanglement in coupled quantum dots interacting with a quantized field by studying the evolution of entanglement of formation when the dots are initially in a state with zero entanglement.
