The PCS APL shared file system

This paper describes the APL shared file system developed by Proprietary Computer Systems. The file system allows rapid storage and retrieval of APL variables outside the user's workspace. The file system accommodates variable sized records and allows file sharing between users with holds at either the file or record level.
